Marzetti Simply Dressed Balsamic Vinaigrette Pasta Salad

We were excited to be selected to post about Marzetti Simply Dressed Salad Dressing because we've enjoyed many of their other products; Caramel Dip, Fruit Dip, Classic Ranch and USDA Organic Parmesan Ranch dressing. As soon as we found out we rushed to the local grocery store to buy a bottle. Varieties include Ranch, Balsamic, Caesar, Coleslaw and Blue Cheese. We got the Simply Dressed Balsamic Vinaigrette. Amy and I were debating about what to make during the drive, at the store and on our way home. Salads, bruschetta, and marinated chicken all came to mind. Then Amy suggested that we make a Pasta Salad. All to many times pasta salad is drenched in an orange Italian dressing and figured it could use a makeover. We also picked up a bottle of their Marzetti Strawberry Chardonnay Vinaigrette dressing since we were there. That will be another post. Amy loves it. I'm starting to get jealous.

Recipe-

1/4 cup - carrots

1/4 cup - celery

1/4 cup - yellow bell pepper

1/4 cup - red bell pepper

1/4 cup - zucchini

1/4 cup - broccoli

6oz - chicken breast

2 tsp - butter

1 cup - ditalini pasta

Cook chicken breast until juices run clear. Shred or 1/4" dice. Cool in refrigerator

Saute' vegetables in 2 tsp butter until crisp. Cool in refrigerator.

Boil 1 cup ditalini pasta according to directions or to al' dente. Rinse with cold water.

Combine ingredients when cool and Cover with Marzetti Simply Dressed all natural Balsamic Vinaigrette. We used about 3/4 a 12oz bottle. Refrigerate about 3 hrs.

White House Fruit Farm, Canfield, OH Yearly Fall Trip

This is White House Fruit Farm located at 9249 Youngstown-Salem Road, Canfield, OH (330)533-4161 http://www.whitehousefruitfarm.com/ We come here every year about this time. The leaves are changing on the trees and it is just starting to cool off outside. They are making caramel apples and they have the freshest produce around. If you get there early enough, as soon as you walk in the front doors, you can catch the aroma of their fresh & delicious donuts. We are foodies that love being around other people that love what they do. Everyone at White House is very friendly, helpful and courteous.

Tea Party

So on Labor Day My niece Kaelin and Amy got to thinking that a Tea Party would be fun. Amy will say that it could have been better or that it was short notice and she only had a week to plan. Whatever. I thought everything looked great for a Tea party. Kaelin & Hailey both enjoyed themselves and so did Nana T, Grandma Barb, Amy & Jodi. Dominic & I got out of there just in time to watch the browns lose their season opener.

The 165th Annual Canfield Fair

The Canfield Fair in Canfield, Ohio is a big Deal. It is always August 31st thru Labor Day. Check them out here www.canfieldfair.com and here @canfieldfair People come from all over. I've been going ever since I could remember and I'm, um....34? Yup 34, I just checked with my wife. I have fond memories of my mom and dad taking me to the Canfield Fair with my brother and sister eating Footlongs and elephant ears and Riding the big slide, or walking through the Livestock Barns and looking at the Cows, Roosters, Lamb, Horses, Rabbits playing the very unfair, fair games and of course the Largest Squash Contest. I know none of that was a coherent sentence, but that's what it feels like when I try to remember it or when I first walk into the gates. I didn't even list everything at the fair (I'll need material for next year). As I grew old enough to drive my brother, sister and I would hit the grounds on our own and meet friends. Not so many rides, but much more food. We'd close the place down every night. The most awesome thing about the Canfield Fair these past few years is my son, Dominic. My wife and I get to see him experience all the same things That I've come to enjoy from the Fair. It makes my so happy just watching him eating footlongs and elephant ears and Riding the big slide, or walking through the Livestock Barns and looking at the Cows, Roosters, Lamb, Horses, Rabbits and of course the Largest Squash Contest. Now that it is over I can't wait for next year.

The surrounding communities, Canfield included have a great deal of Italian Roots. So there tend to be more than a few stromboli, calzone & sausage sandwich stands.

I said it last year and I'll say it again, Eli's Famous Bar-B-Que Ribs are the best at the Fair. You can choose between hot or mild. Order by the dinner or by the bone. They always fall off the bone. If you missed them this year, again, their restaurant is located in Warren, Ohio.

Just when I think I've had just about every style of pasta sauce, Amy hits a home run. Other then a little dicing this recipe should only take about 15-20 minutes to make. Which is great because time is always a factor.

By comparison, here are the Zucchini that we got from Amy's Mom's garden. Dominic, our son is 3 years old and a bout 3 feet tall. That zucchini is about 1 1/2 feet tall. I love Garden fresh veggies.

Large dice the zucchini.

If you like you can add 1/2 cup mushrooms and saute with zucchini

Saute in butter until firm but soft.

add 1 tsp minced garlic

1/4 cup Cream Cheese

2 tbsp Parmesan Cheese

1/4 cup milk

Prego Fresh Mushroom Sauce

Say what you want about using canned or bottled sauces. We use them as a base and add what we feel is needed to make the dish. Redpack gives you the cleanest canvas. Whereas, prego style sauces give you a good head start. This really helps us since it feels like we are always short on time.

If you've noticed, from time to time I'll just send pictures from my phone of my family gatherings food spread, eating out and sometimes eating in. I can post to my blog via e-mail and sometimes I'll forget to add any words. I know, I know, brilliant. I've gotten better. This is, however, not one of those times. My Father, God love him, refuses to cough up any recipes. He is convinced that Paula Dean, Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto trolls Do You Burn Toast? for recipes. Really... What really stinks is that his food is awesome. Below is Beef Brisket Sandwiches with Sweet Baby Rays Dipping Sauce, Corn on the Cobb and Everclear Sundae. The sundae gets it's name from the cherries that have been soaking in Everclear Grain Alcohol for over a year. Sorry Food Network, again, no recipes.

No complicated drawn out recipe here today. Just the freshest Corn you can get your hands on. If you ever find yourself in the position to buy fresh corn from a farm, buy it. I know what you are thinking; what's the difference, grocery, farm, frozen, it's all the same. It's not and all it takes is one taste of Farm Fresh Corn to fall in love. The fresh stuff is juicy, crunchy & packed with flavor. We all have a farm on the way home from work that we pass. If you don't, well, take the long way home. Fresh Corn stands will be popping up. Chicken Tortilla Soup

Another Soup from Amy. Delicious. She used to make this at a couple of the restaurant we worked at together. She has perfected the recipe. It has the perfect blend of spice and texture. Enjoy!

3 cups Cooked Shredded Chicken
1 Green Pepper
1 Green Onion
1 Can Corn
2 Tbsp Butter
2 Cans Diced Tomatoes w/ Green Chili's
4 Chicken Bullion Cubes
1 Tbsp Chili Powder
1 Tbsp Garlic Salt
1 Tsp Cumin
6 cups water
2 Limes

Saute pepper & Onion until Translucent. Add all other ingredients except the Limes and Simmer until veggies are soft, about 20-30 minutes. Add Lime juice just before serving. Garnish with Shredded Cheddar Cheese and Tortilla strips.

Stuffed Pepper Soup

So, if you have been following the blog you know that Amy makes awesome soups. Chili, chicken, beef, seafood, creamy, brothy, etc. Awesome. This Stuffed Pepper Soup is no exception. You may think "Hot soup in the middle of the summer? really?" To which I respond. A good soup is appropriate any time of year, even in the thick of Northeast Ohio summer heat.

1 lb Ground Beef

1 green pepper

1 tsp pepper

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp Garlic Salt

2 chicken bouillon cubes

2 cans tomato soup

1 can tomato paste

1 cup instant rice

5 soup cans water

Brown meat. Add Seasonings & Peppers. Mix tomato paste with 1 can of water. Add all liquids & bullion. Simmer for 20 min, add rice - let cook for another 5-7 minutes. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.

Hog Wild Pig Roast at Drake Alliance Church

You are missing out if you don't hit at least one Pig Roast every summer. Amy's dad invited us to a Pig Roast catered by Hog Wild http://www.callhogwild.com/ at his Church, Drake Alliance in Grove City. I'm not real big on BBQ. Too many quality control checks at the restaurants I've managed over the years taste testing mediocre sauces. Hog Wild's BBQ is anything but mediocre. Their pork fell off the bone, Their sauce is savory and they make great fixins, which is often an afterthought to most BBQ chefs. Not Hog Wild.

You have to respect any Chef that is willing to prepare food right in front of you.

Great Fixins. The Cole Slaw was awesome. Creamy, a little tart but sweet. You could tell it was Homemade. Too many processed Cole Slaws have way too much vinegar which is over-balanced with way too much sugar.

This was my second round. I ate the 1st one too fast. Their BBQ is probably my favorite. A close second is Eli's Ribs. I can't wait for the Canfield Fair to roll around so I can get a half slab.

Amy's Lasagna - Better than anything you'll find at Carrabba's

I've worked at 3 restaurants in my career as a Restaurant Manager. Two of them had Lasagna on the menu. The problem with restaurants having Lasagna on their menu is that they want every dish to go out the same. It has to look the same, smell the same, taste the same and hopefully end up in the same patrons belly so they recommend it to their friends. My Mom's and my Wife's Lasagna, even though it is always delicious, never tasted exactly the same. Some layers had a little more cheese than others, or a little less meat than others or some of the cheese on top had a little more carmelization than other parts. Then when you try to dig out a piece it always ended up looking like Picasso's take on Lasagna; Noodles shooting this way, meat trickling out that way, and cheese oozing all over the place loosely holding the dish together. Attributes that would make any restaurant Manager of Chef cringe and yet at the same time make my mouth water. There is no plate picture because it would not do it justice.

Cook Meat & Onions with Garlic Salt until brown.

Ricotta Cheese mixture - Mix Ricotta and Cottage cheeses with 2 eggs, pepper, garlic salt, and onion powder.

First Layer - Sauce

Second Layer - Lasagna Noodles

Third Layer - Cheese Mixture

Fouth Layer - Meat Mixture

Fifth Layer - Shredded Mozz

Repeat until you are out of Layers and End with, from the bottom - Noodles, Sauce, Mozz & Parm

Bake @ 350 for about 45 Min

Justin's Hot dogs, Fresh cut French Fries & Corn on the Cobb

So do yourself a favor and stop at a farmers market or local farm and pick up a fresh potatoes and corn on the cobb before summer ends. This is how you do a summer dinner right. Before you fire up the grill get your deep fryer up to 375. Fresh cut French fries need a good 10-12 minutes to cook and will need shimmied every 3 minutes or so. After they are cooked to a crunch golden brown color they are moved to a paper napkin covered stainless steal bowl.

Nathan's hot dogs are the only way to go. The flavor is unmatched.

Some like short diagonal grill marks that go across the dawg. Justin prefers, and I agree, that the grill marks should extend the length of the hot dog. This caramelizes every bite.

Your next question should be, "Where is the corn on the cobb"? The answer is still in the pot of water of course. After the corn is done cooking in water Justin leaves the corn in the water to keep it hot and juicy. This way every ear of corn that comes out is piping hot and ready for a pad of butter to be slathered all over it. I appreciate Justin, Jodi, Kaelin & Hailey for inviting us over for a family summer dinner.

From the west including Cleveland you want take 80 or 76 east to 11 north and take 224 east. From the east including Pittsburgh you want to take 80 east to 11 north and take 224 east. From the south including Columbus take 77 north to 76 or 80 east to 11 North and 224 east. I start with directions because the food and service are so good that I recommend this to anyone within a 2 hr drive to try this place out. Fuji, Asian Cuisine on 224 in Boardman. right across from the Southern Park Mall. Fuji is the best Asian Cuisine I've ever had. I don't know how pathetic that sounds but it is what it is. I've been to buffets, sit downs, Mongolian BBQ & Sushi Rock. I've been brainwashed so long into thinking that the only entrée I can enjoy at an Asian Restaurant is Chicken & Broccoli. Thanks to Fuji that is over.

This is Chicken Terriaki. It represents my dive into exploring this entire menu. It was delicious. The chicken was plump and juicy and had the perfect amount of Terriaki. the Onions & Bean Sprouts were cooked perfectly. I ate them all and didn't reek of Onions for 2 days.

This is the Playboy Roll - Tempura Shrimp, avocado, cream cheese topped with Tuna & crunch and the Champion Roll - Smoked Salmon, avocado & cheese deep fried with pickle jalapeño & a spicy sauce.

The Starters page

23 appetizers consisting of Soups, salads and rolls. Notable ones - Juicy Spring Roll, Beef Negimaki and chawanmushi - a japanese steamed egg custard with chicken. We did not try any. Not because we didn't like anything there. We were saving room for entree's.

14 salads - Many of us had the house ginger salad. Delicious Ginger Dressing. You have to like ginger to enjoy this salad. Other notable salads - Baby Calamari salad, Papaya Salad, Sunomono Salad, and Baby Octopus Salad.

Main Course Pages

These are split into Thailand, Japanese and Chinese sections. Great news is that it was hard for me to find anything ending in Lo Mein or the Chicken and Broccoli. This is great because every buffet in town kills these titles. It is refreshing to see Entree's called Crazy Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Trio, Mussels in Black Bean Sauce, Singapore Styled noodle, Massaman Curry, Pan-Fried Salt & Pepper Calamari, Pork Katsu and Unagi Don.

Year after year of vacationing in North Myrtle Beach we noticed more and more Peach stands popping up. Most are small local farmers who have delicious peaches. But Johnsons Peaches, well they are different. This was the scene shortly after 9am. Peaches were available but it was obvious that they had already sold many and the parking lot was packed. Fresh Peaches are just one of the many produce items that they carry. They also have fresh plumb, watermelon, tomatoes, okra and potatoes just name a few. They also have Peach jams, purees and other canned or bottled peach assorted goodies. And if I didn't mention it, they're peaches are delicious. Nothing like that crap you'll find in the grocery store. These are juicy and sweet.

From left to right is fresh homemade peach and Strawberry ice cream. Both were delicious. I had to eat both since my son didn't eat the strawberry. They also make homemade apple dumplings. I should have got him one of those also. How do I know they are homemade? I could see them being made from the Ice Cream order window.

So If you ever find yourself traveling down or up 220 in North Carolina make it a point to pay attention for Johnson Peaches. You will not be disappointed. Just note that they will be moving their retail location. We did. She you next year. 9am.

Luigi's, 503 61st Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Luigi's is an Italian Restaurant Located in the heart of myrtle beach. In the midst of Outback, KFC, Carrabbas and various other big chain restaurants is this Italian Gem. The first thing that should said about them is that they are accomodating. My father called a week and a half before we went on vacation to myrtle. While a request for a table of 20 at 5:30 the week of 4th of july would be met with "I'm sorry but we'll have to split you" or "we'll can't seat you all at the same time" or other rediculuos excuses at other locations it was no problem for Luigi's. We walked right in to our table, were greeted in seconds with no excessive wait for drinks or food. I had the Chicken Sorrentino. Sauteed with prosciutto ham, eggplant, mushrooms served with fresh mozzerella and creamy marinara sauce. It was delicious. The service is top notch, the ambiance is comfortable but classic and the food is deliciously homemade. If you are ever near Myrtle Beach, call for reservations a week early and skip the Carrabba's.

We found Bubba's Fish Shack last year when were trying to meet family halfway while on vacation. Almost everything onthe menu is fried so the only healthy option you'll find is a grilled Chicken Sandwich, or what my wife got, the Grilled Chicken Salad. The decor is awesome. It truely looks like a fish shack. For appetizers we had Fried Calamari and Fried Green Tomatoes. The Calamari came with the tentacles, the only way to eat them. I've never had fried green tomatoes and they were delicious. I ate the Fried Shrimp PoBoy. Everything is homemade and handbreaded. They feature All you can Eat Fried Catfish for $14.99 and PBR (pabst blue ribbon) for $2. Bubba's Fish Shack is what it is. Don't try to find the Gluten Free of Heart friendly section. It doesn't exist and I'm totally fine and happy with that. Thanks Bubba. See you next year.

This is Devo - Olive Oil Company. We stumbled across them while walking around Broadway at the Beach in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The entire store has urns that hold all of their Olive Oils: Fused Citrus Coils, Infused EVOO, Single Varietal EVOO and Specialty Gourmet Oils. Such as Athenolia Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Basil Olive Oil, Black Truffle Oil, Blood Orange Olive Oil, Chipotle Olive Oil, Italian Grapeseed Oil, just to name a few. They also carry Aged Balsamic Vinegar, Artisan Wine Vinegars, White Balsamics. Vegetable Rotini, Egg Angel Hair, Garlic Parsley Angel Hair, Chocolate Fettuccini, Curried Carrot Fettucini, Red Pepper Fettucini, Spinach Linguini, just to name a few. Rounding out their line of products are a couple Salts, Peppercorns Soaps, Hand & Body creams. The Soaps are made with, can you guess? Pure Olive Oil.
Being 100% Italian I can appreciate a deliciously seasoned Olive oil. If you are ever around North Myrtle Beach or Springfield, Missourri you owe it to yourself to stop by and try some expertly crafted Olive Oils & Balsamic Vinegars.

We used to go to Fudruckers every year. That is until we found Hamburger Joes. It's nestled right behind Olive Garden off of HWY 17/N Kings Hwy in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. There are so many trees around that if you try to fing it from the road you'll miss it. Which is fine by me. With so many chains in North Myrtle and more popping up every year it's good to know that Hamburger Joes is around.

They specialize in Hambugers at $3.65 and Cheeseburgers at $3.95. Now I know what you are thinking - How good can they be at those prices? The answer - Damn Good. You can get them All the way with slaw, chili and onions or with your choice of mayo, pickles, lettuce, tomato or onion. I got both of mine all the way. You can just tell when a restaurant makes thier food in house, the Chili on the burgers was the best I've had in a while. We also had their wings. They were a good size, Not jumbo but not tiny. Great sauce also I think It may have been from a bottle though. \

They have good service for a hamburger joint. Drinks in under 5 and entrees in under 15. Which is good because we had kids with us. All in all a good experience at Hamburger Joes. If you are going south on HWY 17 turn left just past Olive garden. If you are going North turn right just past the BP/McDonalds Combo. I'd tell you where Fudruckers is but, honestly I can't remember where they are located.

Good thing about this Butterball enclosed electric turkey fryer is that you don't have freeze you chestnuts off, frying your christmas turkey outside. It takes less time because the temperature is more easily maintained thanks to the enclosure. And lastly, there is some kind of filter that helps reduce the fried food odor. Like, you would get if you were frying on the stove without a lid. Hardly any odor was present during and after. I cain't wait to dig in.

As my wife and I were contemplating entering the Project Food Blog contest we were thinking about everything we've accomplished with our blog. From the beginning, all we wanted to do was to show people how to cook. We don't have anyone publishing for us, taking our pictures or writing our recipes. Nothing fancy schmacy, just good, easy to cook food. For 2 full years we've posted, when we could, any amazing products that we've personally tried, any immediate family meals that were notable and any extended family special occasion meals.

We figured it would be best to toot our horn on the first challenge and show the posts that we feel we're most significant for us. We are family people and given the choice to spend time with family, which usually revolves around food, or doing anything else, hands down we are with family.

We know that this first post may be excessive but this is who we are. We're just honored to be considered. Enjoy the show!

Dad's Cuban Sandwiches

The hardest park of this recipe is making sure that you cook the pork long enough. My dad recommends to use pork shoulder and roast it about 4 hours in a conventional oven or over night in a crock pot. Then he suggests you shred it and not slice it.

Starting with the bottom slice of bread, layer

Omaha steaks? Don't be fooled

I'm starting to become less amazed every time I see something like this. I'm going to start to post when I see it now.

I'm completely for anyone running thier own business. However, this is, well, borderline shady.

Coincidence, that they are selling steaks from the same state that the company Omaha steaks ( http://www.omahasteaks.com ) shares it's name with? Don't get me wrong. I'm in favor of any little guy taking a big wet bite outta the big guys, but this company could be taking advantage of some people. If it is a farm from Omaha, NE. butchering some cows, packaging them, then heading out cross-country to sell them. Good For them! Here's my $20. What I take exception with is, How do you know? All they could be doing is going to Sam's Club, buying beef in bulk and cutting it up and labeling it Omaha, NE steaks. Look, I get it. This company is selling steaks from Omaha, NE, but to fool people into thinking that they are getting a big name product for a fraction of the price is, to quote Jon Stewart, "...disengenious at best and criminal at worst..."
I guess my point is, with the economy in the crapper there are going to people out selling products and they want your money. If you are cool with steaks from Omaha, NE. Then Buy em'. If you want Omaha Steaks buy em from the website.

I did not stop to ask any questions, maybe I should have. These are just my ramblings.

Well, we had scrambly eggs in the morning (I know, shocker!) so we decided to keep it simple for lunch. Grilled Cheese.

Easy Stuff. 1.Butter some bread, one side only.

2. Grill some tomatoes if you want

Chicken Fajita Pasta

So we've been eating a lot of pasta lately. Pasta Salad, Rigatoni's in Sauce, etc. But it was kinda late yesterday and we still needed some dinner. So Amy whipped this up. Chicken Fajita Pasta.

First you have to put together a little seasoning. A lot of times we don't feel like using the generic can that says Italian seasoning or Mexican seasoning. So She puts together a quick blend.
1 tsp seasoned salt
1 tsp Garlic salt
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika

Set that aside.
Start pot for pasta. We used fettuccine, feel free to use any noodle you want.

1# Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
Cut in 1"cubes or 1/2" slices
Saute chicken till brown
Add seasoning blend
Add sliced peppers and onions
Let cook until any water become thick.

dunk noodles.

Plate as follows
Noodles
Chicken, Peppers, Onions
Cheese
Sour cream
Avocados,
finish with fresh cut tomatoes on top.

First, cook pasta as directed either by the box or how your Mom used to. Most of time you get a pot of slightly salted water boiling and drop the noodles in. In this instance we used cavatelli, feel free to swap out for rigatoni.

After you have cooked the pasta to al dente, drain in a colander, return to cooking pot and toss with sauce. What's "al dente" you ask. Good Question. It's a fancy way of saying "not to hard, not to soft", "firm but not soggy". Translated, it literally means to the tooth. What's the best way to know if your pasta is in fact "al dente?" Another good question. try it out while it is boiling. Bite the noodle right in the middle. Some people throw a noodle at a wall and see if it sticks. I'm not real big on that but you gotta try everything once. Why care if you pasta is cooked "al dente?" Yet another good question. If you like soggy pasta, cook the pasta for as long as you like. If not, you should cook you pasta al dente because after you pull it from the heat it will continue to cook. After you drain it, it will continue to cook. And As you toss it in sauce it will continue to cook. You cook it al dente so after all those steps you pasta is still in one peice. I think, I could be wrong. Someone should ask Mario Batali. He would know. *whew*

Spray your baking pan with non stick spary. Layer the bottom of the pan with sauce. Add you tossed pasta to the baking pan and add cheese to the top of the your pasta as you like. We like a lot of cheese.

Bake @ 400 for 25 min and Broil for 5

BBQ Chicken

Lay the number of chicken you want to cook in a pan and slather bbq sauce on them. We used about 1/4 cup of Bullseye (http://brands.kraftfoods.com/bullseyebbq/) or KCmasterpeice (http://www.kcmasterpiece.com/) I can't remember. Cook for 350 degrees for 30 minutes, turn over and bake for another 15-20 minutes or until done. I'm not a big fan of BBQ but if you don'y have a grill this is the way to go. We used a pyrex container lined with aluminum foil. If you don't have that or a baking sheet or cookie sheet, you can use a lot of aluminum foil to make a make shift pan. If you do this make sure you use enough foil to hold all the juices that expel from the chicken while cooking. Also after cooking DO NOT try to remove the make shift foil pan from the oven. You risk spilling the scalding Juices on yourself. Instead just use a pair of tongs or a fork to remove the chicken from the pan. turn off the oven to let the aluminum foil pan cool then remove.

Never use instant mash potatoes. 4-5 big potatoes. We like to use yukon gold.

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup milk

salt and pepper to taste. Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water 15-20 min. Drain, add butter, milk, salt and pepper.We used a hand held masher for these because we wanted them thicker. You can use a kitchenaid stand mixer (http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/category/224) if you want a smoother consistency. You may need to add a touch more milk.

Heat 1-2 minutes in a microwave

1 tbsp Newman’s Own Light Honey Mustard

1 tbsp shredded cheddar cheese

1 each – mini dill pickle chopped

2 slices – shaved ham, chopped

Instructions-

Mash yolks

Add other ingredients

Ingredients –
4 each – String Cheeses cut in half
1 roll – refrigerated pizza crust
16 slices – Pepperoni
2 tbsp – Newman’s Own Sockarooni sauce

Instructions-
Cut pizza crust in to 8 equal pieces
Spread Sockarooni sauce in middle of each piece of dough
Layer 2 pieces of pepperoni on tip of sauce
Put string cheese on top of pepperoni
pinch to seal edges
Bake for 15 min at 350 degrees
Serve with additional sockarooni sauce for dipping

This is my mom's recipe. We ate it as an appetizer for the superbowl party. It was delicious

1 (14oz) pkg wonton wrappers, cut in half, deep fry, 
   remove before browned 
d (mozz,prov,parm,romano) 
1 (15oz) jar 4 cheese Alf
2 c Shredded 4 cheese ble
nredo sauce 
1 lb fully cooked crumbled Italian sausage 
cini peppers, drained 
1/2 c green 
1/2 c sliced black olives, drained 
1/2 c sliced peppero
nonions, chopped 
1/2 c green peppers, chopped 
1/2 c chopped tomatoes 


Directions
Sprinkle 1 cup 4 cheese blend 
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees 
2 Arrange chips in bottom of shallow baking dish. 
3 over chips, drizzle cheese sauce, sprinkle sausage and remaining cheese blend. 
 onions, and tomatoes
4 Bake uncovered 10 min or until cheese is melted. 
5 Garnish with olives, peppers.

You read that right. My Dad compiled a Spam Recipe cookbook from the Hormel Foods Corporation Website. Spam Broccoli Rice Soup, Spam, bacon & Bleu cheese sandwiches, Monte Cristo Spamwich, Spam Tetrazzini, and a Linguini Milano just to name a few. I've got a feeling that my dad will want to cook some. He hinted that we may try more than couple out on our Family Vacation. We'll post when he does.
